Feltham Lane A361 crossing
From "Interactive map: add your concerns and ideas"
Go to the project
This crossing of the A361 is on the SUSTRANS 24 route. This is quite a dangerous crossing of the A361. This route was meant to have been re-routed via Edmund Park using the old cow underpass on the A361 as proposed at outline permission. A new cycle path was proposed to run along the outer carriageway of the A361 to join Feltham Lane south if the A361. This was dropped at REM approval. The developer put the path in that now stops at a date in front of the gate by the old cow underpass. A lost opportunity that should be rekindled.

I agree - this is an important crossing point for people getting in / out of Frome. It actually prevents many people from using the National Cycle Route out to the lanes, as the traffic is particularly fast at this point. At the very least, a sign warning of pedestrians crossing would be an improvement.

One of several crossing points for cycling as well as public footpaths (e.g. one across to Styles Hill). The whole bypass needs to be 40mph with cameras and warning signs for pedestrians and people on cycles. With the increased development on south side of town this becomes ever more urgent.

I agree - this is currently a dangerous crossing and will get worse with the increasing traffic

I agree this crossing of the A361 can be a nightmare and will only get worse with lal the new housing developments locally - including the huge Warminster expansion.
