Better location for a pedestrian crossing on Butts Hill?

Lots of people pass through Redland Terrace and on to the alleyway to the park and school (and vice versa), including many children. Car drivers often park on the pavement and obscure the view, making crossing more dangerous. Something is needed here - perhaps a raised speed bump crossing, or zebra crossing? The nearby zebra crossing is too far away - realistically, I suspect almost nobody walks all the way down to it and back up again.

Yes, definitely agree with this! So many people cross the road here and it often feels unsafe. Whilst some take the longer route down to the crossing, this is often unsafe too, as drivers regularly don’t stop for pedestrians!

+1 - This is especially true when cars/vans park on the pavement on this road, it feels dangerous to cross.
The current zebra goes to Slips Close, the path to path connection makes more sense.

Completely agree - also the pedestrian crossing on Butts Hill by Slipps Close is badly placed and would be better moved closer to this location.

Absolutely agree. Whether or not this is still within the Butt's Hill 20mph zone, most cars travelling north towards the town centre are accelerating by what is the most popular crossing point.
