Town centre toilets survey
We know the Market Yard toilets matter to many people, and we want to be open about what’s happening and what comes next.
The toilets have reached the end of their life and had become expensive and unreliable to run, so they have been closed temporarily. In the meantime, Frome Town Council is funding public access to toilets at the Cheese and Grain, maintaining the Changing Places facility, and providing temporary toilets at major events like the Independent Market.
Now we're exploring options for the future - would you like us to refurbish, rebuild, rethink the site or take a different approach?
This is a big decision involving public money and an important town centre space, so we want to hear from you before anything is agreed. We will also need to seek permission from Somerset Council, who we have asked to provide us a long-term lease which will allow us to seek planning permission to refurbish or redesign the Market Yard toilets building.
Please share your views and help shape the future of town centre toilet provision in Frome. The survey has an opening section that takes around 5 minutes to complete, with an invitation to go into more depth if you would like to.

Take the survey
Take the survey by 31st March to have your say. Once the survey is closed, Frome Town Council will look at the responses and publish a report with the findings, which will be used to shape what we do next.
