Joel Baxter7 months ago I'd love to see an new almost river level board walk created liver in the bank for a stretch of the river. That would allow people to connect with the river in a way they aren't able to at all. I can imagine in the summer people sitting in the edge dangling their feet off the edge and into the cool water. Planting more trees along the banks above like willows would help shade out brambles the always grow there and would make the river truly spectacular. It would improve access to the river, look stunning and improve biodiversity with appropriate planting.

Joel Baxter7 months ago I give full support to this plan. Great to see more greenery in the carpark parking the space not only more appealing but more healthy and improving climate resilience and attracting more biodiversity. The improved facilities is clearly a win for the town and the designs look very sympathetic to the original building. The improvements to the appeal of the carpark itself will also be welcome especially for events in the space like the Frome festival. I'd love to see more access to the river side if possible maybe a platform overhanging the river in stilts or something to create a beautiful little rest/viewing area.
