This old cow underpass under both the railway line and the A361 was to be used as a cycle route and footpath to enable safer access to land outside the Frome bypass. This was included in the plans for the Outline planning permisson for Edmund Park but was allowed to drop at later stages
Feltham Lane A361 crossing

This crossing of the A361 is on the SUSTRANS 24 route. This is quite a dangerous crossing of the A361. This route was meant to have been re-routed via Edmund Park using the old cow underpass on the A361 as proposed at outline permission. A new cycle path was proposed to run along the outer carriageway of the A361 to join Feltham Lane south if the A361. This was dropped at REM approval. The developer put the path in that now stops at a date in front of the gate by the old cow underpass. A lost opportunity that should be rekindled.
Access. To Marston Lakes parkland

Many people walk down Little Keyford Lane cross the A361 bypass into the lane opposite and go to Tytherington to enjoy the parkland at Marston Lakes. However the A361 is busy. Development to the south of Frome will grow traffic volumes. SGC plans include a nature park on the Tytherington side of this crossing. Safer access is needed.
