Hi, Born and bred in Frome, living here in our “GREAT” town most all my life, retiring at 65 owning my own building contracting business having served a 5-year apprenticeship as a mason/bricklayer starting at age 15. Married for 60 years producing one daughter and two grandchildren we’re VERY proud off.

Hobby-wise, 34 years a member of Frome Lions. A lifetimes interest in local wildlife, specialising on Otters and now Beavers, giving illustrated talks on local wildlife as well as running a daily blog on various social media sites using footage from my remote, trail cameras.

“BRUNG UP” by much loved foster parents and from age 12 a fascination with rocks and minerals, collecting my first on a coach trip to Aberystwyth and receiving a THICK EAR for my troubles as the pebble I collected broke the pocket on my new jacket (Still have the pebble:-) Now have a display of some of my best self-collected specimens in Frome Museum.
