Verge management

As you have identified in the draft document verges help to support a rich array of pollinators. I am always dismayed when the verges are cut on a routine calendar without consideration of what is flowering. Even in hot weather when there is very few opportunities for pollinators. Could there be a way of assessing the verges to decide if they need cutting or skip cutting to a later date. I realise if outside contractors are used this is very difficult to achieve. Perhaps the Pocket Meadow idea could include verges? They could be adopted by local residents.
