Traffic calming gate / planters

I'd love to see this end of Alexandra Road blocked off to cars with planters like they've done in many parts of London. It would make most of the road much safer for the many young kids that live here as well as quieter for its residents. It would only be a minor inconvenience for motorists that want to get to the town to drive up Summer Hill or down Locks Hill instead. You could still have a gate for emergency services and for when there are roadworks on one of the other routes in or out.
