National speed limit too soon

From "Interactive map: add your concerns and ideas"

Go to the project

The limit changes from 30mph to national speed limit, as denoted by huge signs too early. Cars speed up immediately and before the Marston Arms pub, and the crossing to the lane where you can walk across to Tytherington. This is still a residential area and the crossing is not safe. It isn’t appropriate for traffic to accelerate so close to homes and pedestrians. The national speed limit signs need to move out of town and closer to the roundabout. This would not inconvenience drivers but would make the road much safer.
