Dangerous crossing

From "Interactive map: add your concerns and ideas"

Go to the project

There are many dangerous pedestrian crossings in Frome and area...White Row Farm roundabout /Spring Gardens / Fromefield by Co op/Station Approach/upper Market Place /Easthill cemetary public footpath across bypass to Rodden/ Feltham Bridge crossing bypass on Sustrans 24/public footpath crossing bypass from Tytherington to Marston Gate.

All these public footpaths are used to gain access across busy roads. Thus they must be improved with adjacent large triangular pedestrian warning signs .Also traffic islands. Also speed bumps.

H1 of the highway code talks of user's hierarchy :car and truck drivers have a duty to be aware of pedestrians .The roads are to permit access : they are not race tracks .
