A crossing here could allow cycle access between Rode, Beckington and Frome almost without hills.

Cycling between Rode and Beckington, and Frome involves hills, with the particularly dangerous one at Oldford. A crossing here and a short, reinstated footpath to reconnect the Old Warminster Road, coupled with some measure for pedestrians and cyclists at the White Row roundabout, would make cycle travel possible for many more people between these two villages and Frome, via Limerick Lane. Alternatively, a pedestrian bridge over the B3090 reconnecting Pot Lane and Berkley Lane (Beckington) would open open up a viable cycle route in a single act.
