Frome Community Woodland
A new community woodland is taking shape at Spring Gardens, in memory of much-loved Frome resident Moko Sellars, who died in 2022 aged 39. A 99-year lease has been granted free of charge by the land’s owners and a crowdfunder organised by Moko's friends and family has raised the funds to develop the site into a tranquil, accessible green space for the whole community.
We've been working with SEED Design Landscaping who have created a plan for play features in the woodland, which use natural materials and are designed to blend beautifully into the space. Check out each element and choose your favourite options.
In March 2026, over 600 people including local schoolchildren and community groups came together to plant the 3,800 saplings that will turn the site into a flourishing woodland for people and wildlife to enjoy for generations.
