When you think about culture in Frome, what comes to mind? As part of kicking off our bid to become the UK's Town of Culture in 2028, we asked people for their ideas and experiences around culture in Frome.

In March 2026, over 600 people including local schoolchildren and community groups came together to plant the 3,800 saplings that will turn this site at Spring Gardens into a flourishing woodland for people and wildlife to enjoy for generations.

Hundreds of people also voted for natural play and discovery features they would like to see in the new woodland.
